This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 6" suction and 5" discharge ports. It uses an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design and a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. It includes ANSI Class 125 flanges for system connection and is drilled for gauge ports at the suction and discharge points to monitor hydraulic performance.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 324 frame. The electrical configuration is rated for 230-460V, 3PH, 60Hz power and utilizes across the line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor. This unit meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards and has a PEI value of 0.94. It is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature and features AEGIS shaft grounding.
