This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft configuration that protects the stainless steel shaft sleeve from circulating fluid to reduce potential corrosion. For fluid sealing, the unit utilizes a mechanical seal comprising a silicon-carbide seat half and EPT rubber components. The hydraulic assembly supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Flush seal line taps are integrated into the casing construction to accommodate optional filtration for protecting the seal from non-condensable particles.
The assembly is driven by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
