This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 3" suction and 2-1/2" discharge, both configured with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit utilizes a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It employs a mechanical seal constructed with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation in clean water at temperatures up to 250°F. The pump construction incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the shaft during operation.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 30 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a NEMA 284TS frame. Electrical requirements are 230-460V/60/3PH, and the motor meets premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. It includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and utilizes a Woods coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant guard. This model has a DOE PEI of 0.95.
