This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which incorporates a dry shaft design to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seats and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI. Centered discharge ports allow for air venting, while the construction integrates a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate seal maintenance.
The pump operates using a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding for protection, accepting 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
