This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The construction includes a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve with a 7-1/4" nominal impeller diameter. It utilizes a dry shaft design and a slip-on shaft sleeve to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The unit incorporates flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing the system piping.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 3 HP WEG motor in an 182JM frame with feet. It is configured with an ODP enclosure and is rated for 230-460/60/3 PH power supply. The motor meets premium efficiency standards per NEMA MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The starting configuration is across the line, and the unit supports a 40 °C ambient temperature. This pump has a PEI value of 0.86. The top center line discharge configuration assists with self-venting and reduces piping strain.
