This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate liquid transfer. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber maintains pressure integrity. The unit operates at a pressure rating of 125 PSI.
The motor provides 15 HP, operates at a premium efficiency, and is housed in an ODP enclosure at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
