This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrally cast bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft through a dry shaft design that eliminates contact with the circulating fluid. The unit incorporates a mechanical seal assembly composed of ceramic and EPT rubber, providing operation up to 125 PSI. These components maintain structural integrity and hydraulic performance within the assembly.
The pump assembly operates with a 60 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding for the shaft and drawing 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
