This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally cast mounting foot. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller balanced for performance and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A dry shaft mechanical seal design incorporates a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating. This construction allows for servicing the pump without disturbing the system piping.
The 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and receives power via 380-460V / 3PH, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. Parallel pumping and multi-pump control capabilities are available through this system. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
