This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to manage fluid movement. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft to reduce potential corrosion. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve facilitates mechanical seal maintenance by providing a protective surface for the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, maintaining operational integrity at pressures up to 125 PSI without the need for a wear ring. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections to monitor system performance.
The motor is a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC unit operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, powered by a 200-230V / 3PH supply with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
