This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft mechanical design, rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components maintains fluid integrity within the pump. The internal architecture utilizes flush seal line taps to facilitate the addition of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles.
The motor utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.47. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
