This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing and cover with a 2" suction and a 1-1/4" discharge. The unit includes a 6-1/4" nominal impeller diameter constructed from stainless steel and utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump design incorporates a dry shaft and a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250°F. The assembly connects via ANSI Class 125 flanges and includes flush seal line taps, pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections, and a rear pullout design to allow servicing without disturbing system piping. The top center line discharge simplifies piping layouts and provides self-venting.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure. It is configured with an 184JM motor frame with feet, AEGIS shaft grounding, and a power supply of 230-460/60/3PH. Starting is configured as across the line. This motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, and the pump assembly has a DOE PEI rating of 0.92.
