This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and 2-1/2" discharge. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft protected by a dry shaft design and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, and it is rated for operation up to 250 °F. The casing includes ANSI Class 250 flanges and pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
This pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a NEMA 184 T frame. The electrical configuration is 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH, with an across the line starting option and AEGIS shaft grounding. The motor meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and is rated for a 40 °C ambient environment. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and a Woods coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.94.
