This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The pump incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is provided by a ceramic and EPT configuration rated for 250°F. The assembly operates at a pressure limit of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This unit supports serviceability by allowing access to internal components without disturbing the system piping.
The motor is a 30 HP premium efficiency ODP unit operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
