This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a stainless steel impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber components facilitates operation at 125 PSI. This configuration integrates pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM, utilizes Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power input with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
