This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. A dry shaft design protects the internal shaft by eliminating contact with the circulating fluid. The unit utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal to manage fluid containment. Constructed for systems rated up to 125 PSI, the assembly includes a wear ring to maintain hydraulic performance. Integrated flush seal line taps accommodate the installation of a filter to shield the seal from non-condensable particles. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections for standard system monitoring.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding on 208V 3PH power, the unit maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.42. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
