This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with center-line discharge for positive air venting. The hydraulic assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and operates at pressures up to 125 PSI. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components to manage fluid containment. Integrally cast mounting feet provide support to the pump volute, allowing maintenance without disturbing connected piping.
The motor operates at 50 HP with premium efficiency and a TEFC enclosure, rotating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding provided on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
