This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the unit prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat with EPT elastomers, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. An optional replaceable bronze wear ring is present within the casing to maintain hydraulic efficiency.
Powered by a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
