This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing housing a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, operating up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Mechanical sealing integrity is maintained through a ceramic seat and EPT rubber construction. Pressure tappings integrated into the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring system pressure, while flush seal line taps provide an option for installing a filter to protect the seal from particulates.
The assembly operates with a 2 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding for protection, powered by a 200-230V 3PH electrical supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
