This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and cover combined with a stainless steel impeller to circulate fluids. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration that isolates the shaft from the pumped media. Mechanical seal components consist of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a seal for operations up to 125 PSI. A wear ring is integrated into the pump assembly to maintain hydraulic efficiency, while flush seal line taps accommodate the installation of an optional filter for protection against non-condensable particles. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
