This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is provided by a silicon-carbide seat half and EPT rubber components. The construction supports a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI.
The pump operates with a 30 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
