This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Sealing is accomplished through a mechanical seal assembly integrating a silicon-carbide seat half with EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI rating without a wear ring.
The motor operates at 2 HP and is a premium efficiency model with a TEFC enclosure, running at 1750 RPM, and incorporates Aegis grounding for 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
