This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal maintains integrity at pressures up to 125 PSI. The pump utilizes a wear ring to preserve hydraulic performance and includes gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis shaft grounding and 200-230V 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
