This end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller, a stainless steel shaft, and a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. The pump construction utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. A mechanical seal, constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components, provides isolation for the internal assembly.
This pump operates with a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and achieves a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
