This base-mounted end suction pump consists of a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve mounted on a stainless steel shaft. This dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT elastomers and maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI. A replaceable bronze wear ring fits within the casing to assist with hydraulic performance.
The motor provides 50 HP with premium efficiency, an ODP enclosure, and operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V 3PH. The unit has a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
