This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid, complemented by a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure regulation, the unit supports 125 PSI operation and includes a bronze wear ring. The mechanical sealing mechanism comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, engineered for fluid containment.
Driven by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the unit runs on 380-460V / 3PH power and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
