This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing rated for 125 PSI operation without a wear ring. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel impeller paired with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the unit prevents circulating fluid from contacting the internal shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat with EPT elastomers to manage fluid movement within the casing.
The motor is a 30 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC unit operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and possesses a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
