This end suction pump utilizes a center-line discharge cast iron casing with integral mounting feet and is constructed with a bronze impeller balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is managed by a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250 °F. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring, and the design allows for pump maintenance without disturbing system piping.
The assembly is driven by a 125 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
