This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and maintains an operating pressure capacity of 125 PSI. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components provides fluid containment at the shaft interface. Designed with center-line discharge for air venting, the unit allows for service of the rotating assembly without disturbing connected system piping.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency PMAC motor, this assembly integrates a TEFC enclosure, operates at 1750 RPM, and incorporates Aegis grounding, drawing power from a 200-230V, 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
