This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The pump is constructed with a mechanical seal utilizing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This assembly maintains a 125 PSI pressure rating and supports parallel pumping and multi-pump control configurations.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, the unit utilizes 380-460V / 3PH power and holds a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
