This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that utilizes a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides fluid containment, while pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring of system conditions. The assembly operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
The pump utilizes a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
