This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It integrates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This pump is engineered to operate at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and incorporates flush seal line taps to facilitate the addition of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections to monitor system performance.
Powered by a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding to protect the motor components from electrical current, operating on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
