This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with an 8" suction and 6" discharge. It is constructed with an 11" nominal impeller diameter, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the pump shaft and the system fluid. It uses a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, capable of operating at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit includes ANSI Class 125 flanges, flush seal line taps for filter installation, and pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing the system piping.
The pump is driven by a 40 HP, 1750 RPM Baldor Super E premium efficiency motor that meets NEMA MG1-12.55 standards. The motor features a TEFC enclosure and is configured with a JM frame style with feet. This unit operates on a 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power supply and utilizes an across the line starting option. It is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature and rotates in a CCW direction. This equipment maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.92. The motor is mounted in a close-coupled configuration.
