This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, supporting operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump construction allows for servicing without the necessity of disturbing system piping.
The unit utilizes a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a power supply of 380-460V / 3PH, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
