This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is constructed of stainless steel and protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Inside the mechanical seal assembly, ceramic seat components pair with EPT rubber elements to maintain system integrity at pressures up to 125 PSI. A bronze wear ring provides structural durability, and the pump incorporates pressure tappings at both the suction and discharge connections for standard system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
