This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with centerline discharge and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction, which shields the stainless steel shaft from circulating fluids through a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. The assembly integrates integrally cast mounting feet on the casing to provide structural stability during installation.
The motor provides 15 HP and utilizes a premium efficiency rating with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
