This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to maintain system integrity. The unit operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
