This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Utilizing a dry shaft design, this assembly isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid to minimize corrosion risk. The unit incorporates a mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 125 PSI. Its hydraulic system integrates pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
This pump utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
