This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 4" suction and 3" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter, and a bronze wear ring. The unit utilizes a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F in clean water applications. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 40 HP Baldor ODP motor in a NEMA 286TS frame. The motor meets premium efficiency standards according to MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The electrical power requirement is 230-460V/3PH/60Hz with an across-the-line starting option. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and utilizes a Woods coupler protected by a standard coupler guard. This unit has a PEI value of 0.91 and is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature.
