This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a dynamically balanced bronze impeller keyed to a stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve via a dry shaft design. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components limits fluid exposure, and the unit maintains a rating of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are provided at both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Operating at 60 HP, the motor utilizes a premium efficiency rating, TEFC enclosure, and 3450 RPM speed, integrating Aegis grounding for electrical protection within a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, while maintaining a DOE PEI of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD utilizes self-sensing quadratic variable flow controls, is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
