This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design and a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250°F. The casing includes suction and discharge pressure tappings for system monitoring.
This unit is powered by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor mounted on a 184T NEMA frame, operating at 1750 RPM on a 200V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply with across-the-line starting. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency MG1-12.55 standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is secured to a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The pump operates at a 40°C ambient temperature and maintains a Department of Energy (DOE) Pump Energy Index (PEI) value of 0.86.
