This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and utilizes a bronze impeller alongside a bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft mechanical design rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal are integrated into the unit. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections, allowing for system performance monitoring. The pump design incorporates flush seal line taps, facilitating the installation of a filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles in open systems.
The pump operates with a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
