This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft mechanical seal that utilizes a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components to operate at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. This pump integrates flush seal line taps to facilitate the addition of filtration for open systems, while pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections enable performance monitoring.
The pump assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
