This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly integrates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components for operation at 125 PSI. Flush seal line taps allow for the installation of an external filter, and pressure tappings exist on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V / 3PH electrical supply, with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
