This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction connection and a 2-1/2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump casing is constructed from cast iron and includes a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump design incorporates pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor ODP motor in a NEMA 184T frame. Power requirements are 230-460/60/3 PH. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This pump configuration maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.88 and is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature.
