This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The assembly utilizes a silicon-carbide mechanical seal with EPT elastomers to maintain pressure integrity up to 125 PSI. Gauging ports at both suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, while the volute provides center-line discharge for air venting.
The pump utilizes a 2 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 208V, 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
