This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 1-1/2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The assembly consists of a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal is constructed with a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, suitable for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. This unit includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design permits servicing without disturbing the system piping, and the top center line discharge configuration facilitates pump self-venting.
The pump is configured with a 3 HP Baldor TEFC motor that operates at 1750 RPM. The motor meets NEMA MG1-12.55 Super E premium efficiency standards and is mounted on a 182 JM frame with feet. It operates on a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply using an across-the-line starting method. The motor is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature and provides standard counter-clockwise rotation. This pump has a DOE PEI rating of 0.83.
