This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump assembly consists of a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for fluid temperatures up to 250°F. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The pump is driven by a 40 HP, 1750 RPM Baldor premium efficiency ODP motor in a NEMA 324 T frame. Power requirements are 230-460/60/3PH with across the line starting. The unit is mounted on a welded structural steel base with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It uses a standard Woods flexible coupler and a bearing frame with greasable bearings. This equipment meets NEMA MG1-12.55 efficiency standards and has a DOE PEI rating of 0.92.
