This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It integrates a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents fluid contact with the shaft assembly. The internal mechanical seal comprises a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This pump construction facilitates maintenance by allowing service access without disturbing system piping connections.
The assembly operates with a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding for a power input of 380-460V / 3PH, maintaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
