This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and an integrally cast mounting foot design to ensure structural stability. The hydraulic assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve installed over a stainless steel shaft, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal comprising an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat manages pressure within the casing, which is rated for 125 PSI. This configuration allows for maintenance of the pump assembly without disturbing the connected system piping.
The unit utilizes a 60 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and runs on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
