This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a bronze shaft sleeve to prevent contact between the shaft and the system fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, capable of operating up to 250 °F. The unit includes ANSI Class 125 flanges, pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections, and flush seal line taps. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without disconnecting system piping, and the top center line discharge configuration facilitates self-venting.
The pump is powered by a 2 HP Baldor Super E Premium Efficiency motor that meets MG1-12.55 standards. This TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM on a 575V, 3PH, 60Hz power supply. It is configured in a 145 JM frame with feet and is rated for 40 °C ambient conditions. The motor features counter-clockwise rotation and is compatible with across-the-line starting. The assembly complies with NEMA standards and has a pump efficiency index (PEI) of 0.83.
